It was in 2010, in Fred Frith and Alfred Zimmerlin’s Master of Free Improvisation class at the Musik-Akademie in Basel, Switzerland, that the three musicians in Sheep Trio first met. They form a trinational, border-crossing trio, an apt reflection of the Mulhouse area, at the crossroads of Switzerland, Germany, and France. Like a rebellious sheep, Sheep Trio does not hesitate to venture against the tide, discovering uncharted territory in the musical landscape.
